Special Appeal

For help from fund raising organizations and looking for volunteers to join us, all ages experienced or inexperienced to help with the fund raising and organsing events for this newly registered Charity SCO41083 to raise funding for equipment and education in and around Aberdeen Stonehaven and Kincardineshire, in the North East of Scotland.

Stonehaven Dolphin Research dedicates it commitment for education awareness in the forum of presentations for schools, organized youth groups, youth clubs, setting up of public land based surveys, and education for all the general public  to bond in our local community.

The volunteers and Marine Biologists that work alongside Stonehaven Dolphins Research Trust help to help preserve, monitor, study population & distribution of cetaceans (Whales, Dolphins and Porpoise). We also contribute to vital research such as land and sea surveys for ID photographs and the study of behaviour patterns also to. Our specialty is working with the cetaceans but also to perseveration in the conservation of all Marine Coastal Wild Life.  When the opportunity arises we take advantage of using the resources and funding, sponsorships and donations etc to pass on vital data with other individuals and organizations to further awareness about costal wild life.

Our studies are already helping in the conservation and scientific communities, but not only that, we think it is vital that the youngsters of not just our local community can share in the work and benefit from the studies that we do, After all they are our next generation of marine biologists etc,

All donations will be contributed to our ongoing projects, equipment. Also we are currently hoping to be able to purchase our own sea survey vessel with all safety and add to update our survey equipment. Our estimate for an appropriate vessel would be around £6,000 - £10,000. This would help us to acquire one Rib boat 4 meter with 3 seat jockey console, Marine 28e, 2 stroke outboard(As pictured below) also needed is photographic equipment for research.

Or if any one has a rib simular to this and has no use for it and wishes to donate it we would be very grateful.

All donations go towards the research and education. We would more than welcome any larger corporations or companies that think we could mutually benefit from our work.
